President of Galindo Publicidad Inc. to receive honors at the Fourth Annual Hispanic Women of Distinction luncheon in August

CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. - July 19, 2005 - Kicking off the month-long celebration of Hispanic heritage for Viva Broward on Aug. 19 at the Design Center of the Americas in Dania Beach, Fla., the Fourth Annual Hispanic Women of Distinction charity luncheon will honor 12 Latinas from Broward County, including Martha E. Galindo, President/CEO of Galindo Publicidad Inc. of Coral Springs.

The honorees are being recognized for their business achievements, community service and personal efforts to maintain their culture and traditions. Galindo, a native of Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, founded her translations company in 1993. The University of Florida has selected Galindo Publicidad twice as a Florida 100 company, a top honor recognizing rapidly growing, privately owned companies throughout the state. The city of Coral Springs recently honored Galindo with a Certificate of Special Recognition for her 2005 Woman of Distinction award. ¨I feel grateful and honored," said Martha E. Galindo. "I believe there are many anonymous faces in the crowd doing so much for our community. I wish to dedicate this recognition to them."

In addition to running a successful firm, Galindo is a member of several professional and community based organizations. She serves on the board of the Coral Springs International Partnerships Group, the Advisory Council for the International Development of the State of Coahuila, Mexico. An accredited translator, Galindo is a member of the Florida Chapter of the American Translators Association and the national American Translators Association. In addition, she is an active member of the Coral Springs Rotary Club and other organizations.

Sponsoring this year's luncheon benefiting the March of Dimes of Broward County and the Light of the World Clinic are the Colonnade Outlets of Sawgrass and Latina Style magazine. Guests can shop at a mercado (silent auction) and enjoy entertainment by Latinas from the world of jazz, salsa and pop music. "We are delighted once again to continue the tradition of honoring these remarkable Hispanic women. They serve as role models to the ever-growing Hispanic community in Broward," said Erwin M. Vasquez, M.D., founder of Viva Broward. For information, call (954) 527-0627.
