Galindo Publicidad and The Rotary Club
of Coral Springs start new scholarship.
CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. - SEPT. 27, 2006 - To help
create awareness of the importance of learning foreign languages in the
United States, award-winning translation company Galindo Publicidad Inc.
of Coral Springs recently donated $500 to the Rotary Club of Coral Springs.
The donation will go toward starting a new scholarship for local high
school students as a reward for excellence in foreign-language skills.
The Rotary Club of Coral Springs, led by President John Adams, Ph.D.,
raises money for charitable needs in the community and gives more than
$5,000 annually in scholarships to local high school students. The new
scholarship will be a benchmark for others from the business community
to add to or match in funds.
"More and more businesses are looking for more creative and painless,
cost-efficient ways to grow and remain competitive in the foreign language-
speaking markets. Three-quarters of the human race is bilingual and global
trade is at $11 trillion and growing," said Martha E. Galindo, president
and C.E.O. of Galindo Publicidad. "The scholarship will be an incentive
to get our local students more interested in learning foreign languages
so they can compete in the global market one day."
